We spent an overnight in Rocky Harbour, and heard great things about Earles. We went there for lunch, and my partner ordered the fish, and I ordered the fried chicken. We then shared it, and boy, was it a treat!!! Excellent food, with excellent service to match! The girls working were so lovely and friendly. We enjoyed it so much we went back for takeout later! We ordered a Hawaiian pizza and a moose burger, again, to share. The pizza was some of the best Ive eaten. It had smokey ham, qualify cheese and an excellent crust. The moose burger was absolutely delicious. My only complaint was its price, which was 15 bucks, without a side. But that is my only minor complaint! Earles has it going on. The staff are running the place perfectly. I really cant wait to visit Rocky Harbour again just so I can eat there. :) 5 stars.
Cant say enough good things regarding Earles restaurant in rocky harbour. Our server was awesome, the food was amazing. We ordered a good amount of food, we started with an order of moose stew and a chicken burger with fries. My fiance is normally not one to eat meat but like most people who deprive themselves from meat, she get cravings for the good stuff, and she was more than pleased with her chicken burger and even ate a piece of moose meat! We ordered a large moose meat pizza to go and i ate that beauty for the next 2 days, the moose meat pizza I received was life changing. Probably the best pizza i have had for crust and cheese. The flavours with the moose meat, mushroom and onion were very complimentary to the pizza as well. Very highly recommended. And its actually pieces of moose meat, not some minced up and mixed with other meats. Pure, lean, Newfoundland Moose. We also ordered 2 pieces of pie, one applebake (cloud berry) pie and one partridge berry pie. Both were very delicious and exceeded expectations, as i have never heard of either berries before our trip to the island. Thanks for contributing to the good memories on our east coast experience.
The food is so good. My friend and I were recommended to go here and it was the place to eat. She was right! It was fairly busy. We got the moose meat pizza and moose burger. Both were delicious! I’d say it was the best food I had on my trip. Earle’s is a must stop. It did take a little bit to place our order but honestly the staff was really great and the food was so good, totally worth the wait so just let them do their thing! Oh! And side note, I got a hot fudge Sunday for dessert and the girl LAYERED the fudge and ice cream, I will only eat them that way going forward. Get the hot fudge Sunday
Best restaurant in Rocky Harbour. Great service and staff made everytime we visited a positive experience. Enjoyed getting their pizza multiple times when I was visiting the area and would recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.
A must go to restaurant if you want Newfoundland dishes! Cod tongue appetizer was delicious! Seafood was all fresh and well prepared. Newfoundland beers were fun to try. Homemade piece of pie topped off the evening.
The restaurant is a very good spot to enjoy a delicious meal in the local atmosphere. The service was excellent. The server was very friendly and helpful. The food is fresh and very tasty.
Great friendly service and tasty food! We tried the moose meat pizza The meat was lean (I asked and they verified that its not mixed with any other meats. Another place told us they mix pork with moose). The crust was good, sauce wasn't too acidic and the perfect amount of cheese. With a side, one pizza was enough for 2 ppl.
May 2018: Service is pretty decent. You have to try the moose pizza because it was fantastic! The burgers are pretty great as well. Wasn't a fan of the fries but that's alright. still great food over all. Most of the staff are just as lovely as the food is! Great place to get some food while you are in Rocky Harbour. 2022 edit: This place sells dark tickle jams and teas. I love buying them as gifts for my friends. And they taste amazing so it's a lovely treat.
